HCTM believes in all round development of its students. Cultural activities, sports, inter-college competitions, inter college quiz competition declamation contests, group discussions etc are the regular features in the college campus. College also celebrates its Founders Day, which provides opportunity to the students to show and polish their talents.
A National level Technical Symposium 'VENATIO 2K8' was organized in the institute on April 9th & 10th , 2008 and Er. Ranjan Agrawal, Hon'ble Chairman, HCTM, Kaithal, as a chief Guest showered his blessings on the students.

More than 50 colleges from Haryana and other states participated enthusiastically in several events of the symposium. To encourage and enhance the motivation level of the students, a Convocation Programme was held in the college vicinity. Hon'ble Dr. R.P.Bajpai, Vice Chancellor, Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra and Guru Jambheshwar University Hisar, was the Chief Guest and distributed degrees. Alumni Welfare Association Meet was also held in the College Campus on 9th March 2008. More than hundred and fifty ex-students participated in the Alumni Meet and shared their valuable feedback.
In order to impress upon the need of women empowerment and awaken the inner strength and confidence especially among the female students, the college celebrated the Women's Day. Various competitions were held like paper presentations, lecturettes and debates etc. in which the students participated with extra zeal and gusto.

Rajiv Gandhi Akshay Urja Diwas was also celebrated this year in the college campus. Various discussions, debates and presentations were conducted highlighting the importance of renewable and non-conventional energy resources. The college has also been placed first in the district for Blood Donation and the District Administration honored the college for this noble work on Republic Day Function. The Mechnoviz Society of HCTM organized paper presentation in their respective departments where the winners were given mementos and cash prizes.

Our students participated in the National Level Technical Fests Thomso Encore-07 held at IIT, Roorkee and UTKANSH-07 at NIT, Jalandhar respectively. These events gave a tremendous exposure and inputs to our students. Our students presented their papers in National Level Technical Symposium NUTURE-07 held at Ch. Devi Lal Memorial Engg. College, Paniwala Motta.
The college also organized a 'National Conference on Computer Applications-2007' in its campus on March 6, 2007 for which Renowned Professors were invited to deliver the lectures. The students also participated in National Level Technical Fest Azzaro-08 held at HEC, Jagadhari on 14-15th March 08 where the students got first position in the events like paper presentation and Brain Strom respectively.

Here at HCTM, the students are not only the finest ones in the technical aspects but also reach the pinnacle in the cultural area also. Founders Day is one of those events which is a long known fact about the cultural capabilities of the students of the institute. A team of 22 students brought a great honor to the institute by winning 14 prizes by getting 1st, second, and third positions in Confluence –2007, a National Level Function at NIT, Kurukshetra from 2 2nd to 25th Feb, 2007.
